The First Epistle to the Corinthians, often referred to as First Corinthians, says that Paul the Apostle and “Sosthenes our brother” wrote the book to “the church of God which is at Corinth”.  First Epistle to the Corinthians was written by Paul around 53 AD.  It was written from Ephesus, a city on the west coast of today’s Turkey, about 180 miles by sea from Corinth.
