The Book of Zechariah is attributed to the prophet Zechariah (grandson of Iddo) whose ministry took place during the reign of Darius the Great, after the people of Judah returned from seventy years of exile in Babylon. Zechariah is specific about dating his writings, most of which took place between 520 and 518 BC. Zechariah prophesied Jesus’ first coming and His second coming.
