The Book of Micah records the sayings of Micah, an 8th century BC prophet from the village of Moresheth Gath, about 25 miles southwest of Jerusalem. Micah lived outside the governmental centers of power in his nation, leading to his strong concern for the lowly and less fortunate of society—the lame, the outcasts, and the afflicted.
