Repentance, or repent, is often translated from the word naham which means “to be sorry” and to “change one’s mind”. It refers to regret or remorse accompanying a realization that wrong has been done. In the biblical context, it involves a sincere turning from sin to serve God. The biblical verses tell us that whoever repents, even at the eleventh hour, will find a God of mercy and love, not of judgment.
