Nazareth is a small village in Lower Galilee located about halfway between the Sea of Galilee and the Mediterranean Sea. Founded upon a ridge 500 meters above sea level, it’s place name means “branch”. Archaeology evidence shows that Nazareth was settled as early as the Middle Bronze Age, and continued to be settled through the Iron Age although it was relatively unknown until its association with Jesus.
