Son of Amram and Jochebed, Moses is the prophet who lead Israel from slavery in Egypt to the edge of the promised land. Moses is believed to have written 20% of the Bible including Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy (and the author of Psalm 90). Moses was a Hebrew, born in Egypt, and raised in Pharaoh’s house. His brother was Aaron and his sister Miriam.
