Goshen is the land in Egypt that was given to the Hebrews by the Pharaoh as a reward for Joseph’s family. It was located in the eastern Delta region, about 50 miles northeast of Cairo. It covered the western end of the Wadi Tumilat, the eastern end being the district of Succoth (which had Pithom as its main town), and extended north as far as the ruins of Pi-Ramesses.
