Marc Wheway’s new book Awaiting His Return

Marc Wheway’s new book Awaiting His Return reminds Christians about living steadfastly in a post-Christendom world.

As societies move further from God’s principles, Christians face pressure to drift from biblical living. A world focused on individualism and monetary gain challenges Christians to stay vigilant. Becoming lukewarm and self-obsessed are risks we must avoid.

In Awaiting His Return, Dr. Marc Wheway, with a PhD in eschatology and a Master’s in International Relations, explores prophetic scriptures.

Marc Wheway is knowledgeable on this subject. Awaiting His Return takes readers through Apostle Paul’s letters to the Thessalonians, highlighting the importance of steadfastness and readiness for the Rapture. Paul urges believers to stay vigilant and lead a blameless life, anticipating the Lord’s sudden return, described as “like a thief in the night” (cf. Lu. 12:39; 1 Thess. 5:2, 4; Rev. 3:3, 16:15).

Books on the end times might not appeal to every Christian, but Revelation says those who understand this book will be blessed.

Marc Wheway developed a strong interest in eschatology. Raised in a traditional Assemblies of God Church from age fifteen, he was fascinated and frightened by Tim Lahaye’s Left Behind series. This sparked his lifelong interest in eschatology.

Marc says studying end times helps him stay alert as a Christian, aware that Jesus could return at any time.

“Regardless of my life concerning Christ, or the circumstances in general, I have never lost sight of the fact that Jesus could come for His church at any moment,” he said. “I also had a strong conviction that I would play a part in the things to come.

“Thirty-plus years later, nothing has impacted me like Tim Lahaye’s Left Behind series. Although I have read many books on the subject and watched numerous teachings and movies, nothing compares.”

With many Christian leaders lacking interest and knowledge in end times, resources are limited and often inaccurate. Marc says many writings and teachings lack the theological framework and historical knowledge to piece together the truth.
