After the Pharisees attempted to trap Jesus with a question about Caesar’s tax, the Sadducees, who do not believe in the body’s resurrection after death, came to him with a question. They asked, “Teacher, Moses says if a man dies without having children, his brother must marry the widow and raise up offspring for him.

The number of early Christian Church followers grow as they devote themselves to Jesus’ teachings and spread goodwill to all (Acts 2:42 – 2:47)

Many people devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching. They were filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. The believers owned everything together and shared with one another. They sold their property and possessions to give to anyone who had need. Each day they met together in the temple courts.
